Gareth Booth is a Belfast-based business director known for aligning commercial strategy, operational performance, and financial governance to support sustainable growth. An associate member of the Chartered Management Institute, he brings leadership experience across engineering and contracting, automotive retail, financial services, and technology-enabled compliance.
As commercial director with the Copius Group, Gareth helps shape expansion plans for an engineering and contracting business delivering power and infrastructure projects across Europe. In this role, he focuses on strengthening profitability through disciplined budgeting, sharper compliance frameworks, and clearer policies that translate strategic objectives into measurable execution across multiple sites and stakeholders.
Gareth previously served as group operations director at Inspired Business Investments, where he guided strategic direction and day-to-day operations for Mercedes-Benz franchises across southern England and Northern Ireland. He partnered with key stakeholders to ensure internal standards supported broader business goals and led investments in systems that improved efficiency and innovation.
Earlier, as chief financial officer at MetaCompliance, Gareth supported private equity activity, coordinating due diligence and investment processes alongside external accountants, legal advisers, and banking partners. He also worked with US investment bankers on business planning and the management of complex financial reporting.
He earned an accountancy degree from Queen’s University Belfast and is a member of the Institute of Directors. Outside work, Gareth is active in his local community through hands-on beekeeping, maintaining three hives and harvesting honey twice each year, and he enjoys running.
